Presented by ASSITEJ South Africa, the festival celebrates artistic excellence, youth creativity, cultural exchange, and international collaboration.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Soweto Uprising, the 2026 edition honours the courage and activism of young people while showcasing indigenous African voices alongside artists from around the world.

Featuring 20 productions from 10 countries and engaging approximately 10,000 audience members.
