WWF South Africa’s Nature Is Our Home Open House
Cape Town, come explore your newest nature home!
Visit WWF’s “Nature Is Our Home” installation at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront and step inside a South African living room with a wild twist!
We often think of nature as something “out there” – in national parks, oceans or remote wilderness areas. But nature is already deeply woven into our everyday lives, from the water that flows from our taps to the food on our tables and the materials that make up our homes.
To bring this message to life, WWF South Africa has launched Nature Is Our Home, an immersive public activation designed to help South Africans see the connection between healthy ecosystems and daily life.
Visitors can step inside a transformed shipping container that recreates a South African living space, uncovering the often-overlooked ways nature supports our homes, communities and wellbeing.
What to expect: An immersive pop-up experience inside a transformed shipping container featuring interactive displays, digital experiences, indigenous plants and insights into how nature shapes everyday life.
Discover the surprising ways nature shapes our everyday lives, from the water we drink to the food on our plates. Test your nature knowledge with a fun quiz (yes, there are prizes up for grabs!) and see why nature is closer to home than you think.
Suitable for individuals, families and visitors looking for a unique, educational Waterfront experience.
