Peter and the Wolf at the National Children’s Theatre
The National Children’s Theatre‘s outdoor Imagination Theatre comes alive in March to the sound of Sergei Prokofiev’s symphonic fairytale, Peter and the Wolf, directed by NCT’s resident artistic director, Daniel Geddes.
This exciting new take on the beloved score and story will excite your imagination and bring the beloved characters and music to life in a new way. Three teenagers stumble upon Prokofiev’s classic, and begin to explore its pages – with surprising results. They must retell the story, or their poor new friend, the Conductor, will be lost to its pages forever.
The original tale helped children learn the different parts of the orchestra as well as experience themes and motifs in music in a fun and engaging way. Staying true to the score and the original story, this adaptation is no different; a must-see treat for the whole family and suitable for children aged 3 and upwards.
Remember to bring your sun hat, picnic basket, picnic blanket, and umbrella and camping chair, which can be set up in a non-obstructive place.
Note that NCT observes all COVID-19 protocols and the event is limited to 100 seats.
Please note: no refunds. Should it rain, ticket holders can book for another show.
Free and secure covered parking is available in the new parking area.
Ticket holders are welcome to come early and arrive with their picnic goodies and relax on our lovely lawns.
