South African National Dance Trust (SANDT) and Joburg Ballet are thrilled to present the SPRING GALA at the Joburg Theatre on Friday 3 October.

This is a rare opportunity to experience a Gala celebration of magnificent dance with guest artists from The Royal Ballet along with Joburg Ballet, SANDT and WGRUV. Royal Ballet Principal Sarah Lamb will be partnered by Royal Ballet Principal Ryoichi Hirano. South African-born Royal Ballet First Artist Lara Turk will grace the stage with them. We will see them in works by Sir Frederick Ashton, Christopher Wheeldon OBE and Sir Kenneth MacMillan, none of which have been seen on the SA stage before.

Respected SA choreographers will present exquisite works on the SA companies and include Veronica Paeper, Sean Bovim, Dane Hurst and Adele Blank. A brand-new creation by Joburg Ballet Senior Soloist Bruno Miranda will have its debut performance. The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Eddie Clayton.

We invite the audience to join us for drinks and snacks before the performance from 6pm. The Gala will commence at 7pm.
