DESCRIPTION:PLAYTOPIA FESTIVAL has just announced their 2026 dates so it’
 s time to mark those calendars\, get those tickets\, book your flights and 
 plan your ultimate video game adventure.\nWith nothing quite like it anywhe
 re on the continent\, dare we say\, the rest of the world? PLAYTOPIA FESTIV
 AL is a singular event that brings together the legends\, disciples\, newbi
 es and enthusiasts of the indie gaming world to exhibit their games\, atten
 d talks and mingle carefree around their mutual passion for this ever expan
 ding art form.\nThe heart of PLAYTOPIA is without a doubt Arcadia (the main
  arcade) where over 150 games are on display built inside what can only des
 cribed as a set that looks like its from some 80’s retro fantasy movie. 
 \nPLAYTOPIA is known for showcasing up-and-coming titles from the local com
 munity such as Relooted (Nyamakop) and Shroom and Gloom (Team Lazerbeam) al
 ongside international hits such as Cult of the Lamb (Massive Monster)\, Ska
 te Story (Sam Eng)\, Haste (Landfall) and Neva (Nomada Studios) before thei
 r official release dates. \nThe Summit in 2025 was a massive success\, hos
 ting speakers such as Chipzel\, Iris Compiet\, and Abubakar Salim. For the 
 first time in PLAYTOPIA's history\, the talks were recorded and are being u
 ploaded to the PLAYTOPIA YouTube channel for all to see.\nPLAYTOPIA’s Vol
 unteer Programme is central to the festival’s activities\, and a great op
 portunity for young aspiring creatives to become involved in the city’s i
 ndie games community\, and experience the bleeding edge of what the scene h
