Johannesburg International Mozart Festival

Translating some of Mozart’s inspiring characteristics into the 21st Century, this year the festival shapes itself around celebrating the birth of Beethoven – who was intrinsically inspired by Mozart – 250 years ago. As such, the theme for the festival this year is based on Beethoven’s quote “Alle Menschen Werden Brüder” which translated, means “all people become brothers”.

Don Quixote at the Joburg Ballet Theatre

Hansel and Gretel (and Father Christmas)

The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company will be premiering a brand new show, HANSEL AND GRETEL in the December school holidays.

After each 10:30am show the audience will be able to meet Father Christmas, who will be handing out sweets to all of the children. We would like to ask the parents to please bring a present or a second-hand toy for an underprivileged child to put under Santa’s Christmas tree. These toys and presents will be distributed to various children`s homes, safe houses and hospitals in Cape Town before Christmas Eve.

Jazz and Classical Encounters Music Festival
