And So The Stories Ran Away - exhibition geared for children

The Zeitz MOCAA, Centre for Art Education presents the first exhibition for children. This exhibition celebrates stories from Africa and has been created to engage the imaginations of children as the primary audience – inviting them into a multi-sensory, interactive experience with works of art.

The title of the exhibition has been inspired by a Nigerian Ekoi legend of how Mouse visits the houses of all people, gathering stories that she weaves into her story children. A fantasy world of strange and wondrous creatures, characters and mysterious spaces have been created in the tunnels of the museum inviting you on a journey of discovery and rediscovery of old and new stories from Africa.

This exhibition has been an innovative education collaboration between the Zeitz MOCAA Centre for Education, The Michaelis School of Fine Art, The Ruth Prowse School of Art and the Nyanga Arts Development Centre.
