Giant Creature World Expo

Giant Creature World Expo will host its Big Bugs! Exhibit at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens. The educational exhibition will feature various giant-size animatronic bugs and life-size insects both behind glass and in the hands of Giant Creature World Expo workers and volunteers.

Most of the live bugs are big, too; many come from different parts of the world. With plenty of family-orientated activities on offer, this is ideal for kids parties, school groups and family outings. Tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

International Kite Festival

See the world’s most spectacular kites “Let Hope Fly” in support of Cape Mental Health at Africa’s biggest kite festival. Watch kiting displays – including giant inflatables, stunt kites and kite fighting. There’ll also be free kite-making workshops, live performances, craft stalls, a funfair and children’s play tent. Enjoy a day of family fun for a good cause.

SARDA Open Garden

Chinese Spring Food Fair

A traditional Lion Dance demonstration is sure to be entertaining!

Sunflower Day

Support the Sunflower Fund’s annual Sunflower Day campaign. The campaign, which is anchored by the sale of the multipurpose Tube of Hope (TOPE), is aimed at raising funds for the recruitment of blood stem cell donors for patients diagnosed with life-threatening blood diseases like leukaemia.
