National Cupcake Day at the Blue Route Mall

Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit company that aims to raise awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer as well as to raise funds to support children, and their families, who have been diagnosed with Childhood Cancer. Cupcakes of Hope call on cake decorators or people who love baking to donate decorated cupcakes for this day. These cupcakes are then given away in return for a R10 donation in order to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer.

Elgin Blossom Weekend

Durban Botanic Gardens Trail of Lights

Offering a magical night out for families, couples and groups and the chance to give back to several noteworthy charities, this year’s trail will be bigger and brighter than ever. Ticket sales officially launch on 1 October.

The Trail of Lights will open on 12 December with a VIP preview evening where only 2000 tickets are available. “We will officially switch the lights on once everyone has gathered in the gardens and there will be other special attractions available for the first evening,” says event organiser, Alene Naidoo.

Hatfield Montessori Walk and Picnic

Talana Museum Live

The Talana Museum is hosting a weekend of events. New this year is the re-enactment of the Battle of Delville Wood, join the armies and relive history. Plus a craft and plant market, vintage car display and a guided tour of the battlefield, among other activities.
