Open Garden at Mulligatawny Farm

Mulligatawny Farm is hosting an Open Garden to raise funds for St George's Turning Point Foundation. Come and join them for a beautiful day out. The gardens include wetlands, 1000s of roses, waterlilies, irises, stunning views, abundant birdlife. a wonderful garden cathedral, several follies, sculptures and a flowering meadow. Food and drink will be on sale.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat - no dogs allowed. Ample parking available.

Hermanus Whale Festival 2019

The Hermanus Whale Festival, the only Enviro-Arts festival in South Africa, is held annually to celebrate the return of the Southern Right whales to the waters of Walkerbay, Hermanus. The Hermanus Whale Festival combines whale watching from shore and sea with live shows, hands-on family fun, street parades, film, music, seafood and local produce.

Annual Penguin Festival in Simon's Town

SANCCOB’s 17th Annual Penguin Festival in collaboration with the City of Cape Town, Cape Town Environmental Education Trust (CTEET) and South African National Parks (SANParks) kick-starts with a public release of rehabilitated African penguins for all to witness how they waddle back to where they belong. It’s an experience not to be missed as we count down to tip the boxes! This year Kfm’s mascot, Rocket, will also tip a box.

RX Radio Youth Music Festival

RX Radio is a radio station run by and for children operating from the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital. It is the first radio station in the world that trains child reporters to broadcast from within a hospital.

RX Radio will be having it's first annual youth music festival, an event conceptualised and organised by child/young reporters themselves. This event aims to be an annual fundraising initiative to continue running the station and continue running the station and continue driving a positive impact in the lives of our trained reporters at the hospital community.

National Cupcake Day at the Blue Route Mall

Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit company that aims to raise awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer as well as to raise funds to support children, and their families, who have been diagnosed with Childhood Cancer. Cupcakes of Hope call on cake decorators or people who love baking to donate decorated cupcakes for this day. These cupcakes are then given away in return for a R10 donation in order to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer.

Elgin Blossom Weekend
